Because the transducer is always in the water, the holder does not protect the transducer from obstacles under water. Therefore, it is possible that entrainments may occur. Included transducer splash guard reduces excess water splash on the compatible transducer when the boat is cruising at high speed
With this mount, you can also install the transducer on the transom of the boat and allow the angle of the transducer to be adjusted so that it is parallel with the water surface and avoid drag. Since the transducer is not submerged in water with this installation, the fishfinder does not detect the bottom when the boat is level.
