Compact fluorescent lamps for terrariums

These lamps have a high energy efficiency , as they produce a broad spectrum of visible and ultraviolet light without eliminating heat. Being shorter than neon tubes, they can be installed in small terrariums or in limited areas of a larger one. The compact lamps use a UVB transmitter quartz crystal, which ensures maximum penetration of the radiation. It does not require any special requirements for installation, as it is equipped with its own ballast and is screw fixed. UVB radiation helps prevent or treat metabolic bone disease, and UVA improves appetite, stimulates sexual behavior and reproduction, and promotes emotional well-being by decreasing stress.

The lamps have a life of 6 months. These models have been corrected and do not have toxic effects on the eyes or cause overexposure when used at the indicated distance.

• ReptiSun 5.0 is ideal for tropical reptile and amphibian species, with a fairly shady natural habitat. It has a full spectrum, with a UVB emission of 5% and UVA of 30%. Particularly suitable for arrow frogs and terrarium plants.

• ReptiSun 10.0 is recommended for desert species or those that spend a lot of time in the sun. It has a full spectrum, with a UVB emission of 10% and UVA of 30%.
