Some fish species (eg Discus and Scalari) are used to very soft water and need these conditions in particular for reproduction. But even if you keep other fish species it can happen that the water has a carbonate hardness (KH) too high or that the pH value has increased too much due to the natural processes of organic decomposition. In these cases sera pH / KH-minus is the effective and fast help. The pH value and KH are immediately lowered and precisely adjusted, thus creating breeding conditions adapted to the needs of the species which contribute significantly to the vitality and well-being of the fish.

Suggestion:

To maintain tropical soft water conditions for a long time, adjust the KH with sera pH / KH-minus to 4 ° dKH and then add the sera super peat to the filter.

Recommended dosage

to lower the carbonate hardness (KH) by approx. 1 ° dKH per day add 5 ml of sera pH / KH-minus for every 20 l of water

to lower KH and pH

immediate help in case of severe ammonia poisoning

to prepare the water for sera super peat (adjust the KH with sera pH / KH-minus at 4 ° dKH, then with sera super peat create stable soft water conditions with a long-lasting effect)

Repeat the dosage daily until the desired value is reached. Do not use more than a double dose per day, as not all animals tolerate sudden changes in KH of more than two degrees! When using the product, make sure that there is good ventilation in the aquarium. Make sure that the KH never falls below 3 ° dKH (check with the sera kH-Test), as there is a danger of pH precipitation!
