Flubenol oral paste is used for the treatment of infestations in dogs and cats due to gastrointestinal parasites.

Suitable against: Ascarids: Toxocara canis; Toxocara cati; Toxascaris leonina; Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis;
Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala; Ankylostoma caninum; Ankylostoma tubaeforme;
Cestodes: Taenia pisiformis; Hydatigera taeniaeforme.
Composition
Active ingredients: Flubendazole 44 mg/ml.
Excipients: Glycerol; carbomer; methyl-para-hydroxybenzoate (E 218) 1.8 mg/ml;
propyl-para-hydroxy-benzoate (E 216) 0.2 mg/ml; sodium hydroxide; purified water.
Side effects
It is generally well tolerated by dogs and cats.
In some cats, treatment may be followed by salivation, caused by the stress of handling.
This does not affect the therapeutic outcome of the treatment.
In rare cases, diarrhoea, vomiting and anorexia have occurred up to 2 days after treatment.
Occasional transient episodes of vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness and hypersensitivity reactions have been observed in dogs.
Dosage
1 ml of paste per 2 kg live weight (22 mg/kg).
Dogs, cats infested with roundworms and hookworms: administer once daily for 2 consecutive days.
Dogs, cats infested by other species of worms: administer once a day for 3 consecutive days.
The product can be administered in the following ways: directly into the animal's mouth;
mixed with the usual food; for cats it can be applied to a front paw so that it is licked. S
Dog treatment plan. Puppies: at 8 days of life; at 6 weeks of life.
Young dogs: before vaccination and then every 2-3 months.
Bitches: during heat; 10 days before and 10 days after giving birth. Adult dogs: 3-4 times a year.
Treatment schedule for cats. Kittens: 3-6 weeks of age; young cats: before vaccination and then every 2-3 months; adult cats: 3-4 times a year.
Warnings
To avoid the risk of developing resistance, resulting in ineffectiveness of the therapy due to possible underdosing,
accurately determine the animal's body weight, administer the product correctly,
avoiding too frequent and repeated use over a long period of time of anthelmintics of the same class.
It is not necessary to fast before administration. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product:
People with known hypersensitivity to flubendazole should avoid contact with the medicine.
In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. Wash hands after administration.
Overdose: doses even 5 times higher than the therapeutic doses do not cause unwanted effects.
Store at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C.
It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use in case of known resistance to the active substance.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
