GARMIN GPSMAP 8400 SERIES

Garmin Italia today announces the GPSMAP 8400 series, the new high resolution maxi chartplotters with unlimited connectivity. Available with 17 ", 22" and 24 "Full HD multitouch wide displays, these instruments are equipped with a new and powerful processor that allows performances never before seen on a device dedicated to boating. They can be installed flush or flush, transforming the boat's dashboard into an elegant, fully integrated crystal console.

Thanks to the large ultra HD screen that can be split up to six windows in split screen mode, it is possible to keep all the necessary data under control at the same time: cartography, radar, cameras, depth sounder, engine data, on-board home automation. The possibilities are endless! In-plane switching (IPS) technology allows for distortion-free viewing of colors or images from any angle you look at the display. They are also equipped with anti-glare technology and LED backlighting for optimal readability in all light conditions.

Thanks to the HDMI and USB Touch ports, you can use the new GPSMAP 8400 as a touchscreen monitor for your computer, Windows ® or Apple ® , without the need for an external keyboard or mouse. The new interface for digital switching and on-board home automation is even more attentive to the user, allowing easy monitoring and control of the on-board MasterBus and Czone networks. The new SmartMode ™ function allows the user to quickly access, with a single gesture, all the information needed in the most stressful situations, such as mooring.

All models feature Wi-Fi ® and ANT ™ wireless connectivity, NMEA 2000 ports, HDMI, USB and 4 Ethernet ports. They also support all the latest Garmin devices thanks to full network compatibility. The new 8400 series, thanks to the J1939 port, allows you to interface with the engines and generators on board to keep all the data of the boat under control.

They can also be integrated with FUSION-Link ™ , which allows you to control the entertainment system directly from the Garmin chartplotter, also allowing you to play videos from many multimedia devices on the HD display, even in split screen mode. Finally, thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi it is possible to interface all the displays of the 8400 series with the free BlueChart Mobile and Garmin Helm applications.

All models in the GPSMAP 8400 series are compatible with optional BlueChart ® g2 HD and BlueChart g2 Vision HD cartography. Thanks to this new cartography it is possible to take advantage of extra functions such as: 3D Mariner's Eye and Fish Eye viewing above and below sea level, high resolution satellite images, aerial photographs that guarantee better orientation during navigation and Auto Guidance 3.0 technology, which allows you to automatically calculate the best route to reach the desired destination.
