ICOM GM600 FIXED VHF WITH CLASS A DSC

GM600 is a GMDSS type VHF radio, which means Global Maritime Distress and Safety, Class A. It can be used as part of a GMDSS-enabled equipment system that complies with SOLAS regulations or national maritime trade regulation. The GM600 radio is designed to function perfectly even in the most adverse weather conditions because it fully complies with all the requirements of the marine equipment directives (MED).
The front panel is waterproof to IPX7 standard (30 min at 1m depth). In addition, the rear is protected from rust by a corrosion-resistant coating.

Class A DSC conforming to ITU-R M.493-13 standard
The special DSC controller constantly monitors activity on channel 70 (DSC channel), guaranteeing access to emergency and safety communications at all times. The special operating mode facilitates DSC operations by opening a pop-up window on the display as soon as a DSC call is received. To send an acknowledgment of receipt to the sending station, just press the accept button.

4.3-inch color TFT display
The large 4.3 "display impresses with its viewing angle, which reaches almost 180 °. The high resolution screen ensures that all information on the display can be easily seen even in adverse weather conditions.

Always strong and clear reception
The waterproof speaker ensures optimum intelligibility of every incoming call. In addition, the 10 W audio power supply is designed for connecting an external speaker.

Intuitive operation
Thanks to the combination of hot keys and navigation buttons, the use of the GM600 VHF radio is particularly simple and fast. The hot keys, located at the bottom of the display, offer easy access to the most important functions. Finally, the CH16 key allows direct access to channel 16.

NOTE: For MED compliance, the GM600 must be powered by the optional PS-310 DC-DC converter. This generates a constant operating voltage of 12.6V to protect the radio from brief power outages.
