Anti-parasitic collar for dogs, for the treatment of ticks (Ixodex ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and fleas (Ctenocephalides canis and felis).

The effectiveness of the collar against ticks and fleas remains for a maximum of 7 months after application.

How to use: Cutaneous use.

An animal collar must be applied around the neck. For small dogs (up to 8 kg body weight), apply a collar 38 cm long and 12.5 g in weight.

For medium-sized dogs (over 8 kg of body weight, up to 20 kg), apply a collar of 53 cm in length and 30.2 g of weight. For large dogs (over 20 kg of body weight), apply a collar 70 cm long and 45 g in weight.

For external use only.

Make sure there are no misprints of the plastic connectors inside the collar.

Adjust the collar around the pet's neck without tightening too much (as a guide, it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the pet's neck).

Slide the excess collar through the loop and cut off any excess more than 2cm.

The typical smell of the collar disappears after a few days.

With the application of Kiltix fleas and ticks die quickly.

Dead parasites can remain attached to the fur for a few days, or can be easily removed with a brush. In rare cases, some ticks can attach to the dog's skin, even in the presence of the collar; these ticks leave the animal after 3 days at most, usually without sucking blood.

Kiltix, based on propoxur and flumethrin, contains a micronized powder, which is rapidly distributed over the entire body of the animal and guarantees effective protection against ticks and fleas throughout the entire risk season.

The collar remains effective even if the dust becomes invisible after some time.

In case of massive infestations, before applying the collar it is best to intervene with a tick-killer bath using specific products; ask your vet.

The effectiveness and actual life of the collar depend on the length, thickness, condition of the coat and environmental parasitic pressure. If the effectiveness of the collar decreases, it may need to be replaced sooner.

The collar should also be removed when the dog is bathed and reapplied when the animal is dry. If the collar accidentally gets wet, it resumes its anti-parasitic action when it dries.

Frequent contact with water (rain, bathing, washing) can reduce the effectiveness of the collar
