These new tools are first and foremost chirp tools, what does chirp mean?
CHIRP technology scans simultaneously high and low frequencies which, depending on the transducer connected, can go from 28 kHz up to a maximum of 210 kHz with the relative change of the reading cone, therefore it means that it emits multiple frequencies simultaneously and more frequencies go up to have a sharper and more detailed detail, with this Garmin has inaugurated a new era in the field of professional fishing, ensuring better separation of targets and excellent resolutions even at high depths.
As for the echo sounder part, we have the traditional one that would be the classic view of the seabed, then we will have the ClearVu function that allows you to obtain very detailed, high resolution images, almost photographic of everything found below and on the sides of the boat. .
The GT23M-TM transducer is perfect for fishing along the coast and in deep waters, for those who want an excellent traditional CHIRP sonar and a CHIRP ClearVü scanning sonar. This transducer with stern support clearly displays the arches of fish with an extraordinary separation of targets and a clear definition of the structure under the boat.
The 8-pin transducer includes a traditional CHIRP midband sounder (80-160 kHz) and a power rating of 600 W. The CHIRP ClearVü element (260/455 kHz) has a power rating of 500 W.
