Biological filter material for the removal of nitrates

Sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional is a high-performance filter material for the biological removal of nitrates with the parallel removal of nitrites and ammonium. Thanks to the biopolymer sphere, combined with the siporax inner ring, denitrification is increased and maximized in an optimal way. The degradable biopolymer serves as a carbon source for nitrate-reducing bacteria.

The biopolymer ball not only maximizes the performance of the biological filter thanks to the unique sintered glass cylinder, but also increases the life of the filter in two ways. In addition to the removal of pollutants, the special design of the sphere optimizes the flow of water and thus improves the transport of substances in the inner ring of the siporax. Therefore sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional is an almost maintenance-free and above all long-lasting filter material. The number of water changes can also be reduced. Especially in larger and / or densely populated tanks and also for cichlid tanks, the water values can be improved thanks to the siporax Nitrat-minus Professional.

sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional can be combined with existing siporax products, such as siporax Professional, siporax mini Professional and siporax pond Professional. By also adding carbon, it optimizes the removal of harmful substances.

The biopolymer spheres are decomposed by bacteria over time and dissolve. To renew the carbon source, they can simply be replaced.

Note: In plant-only tanks or densely planted aquariums and corresponding nitrogen requirements, this filter material may require additional NPK fertilization (eg with sera flore 4 plant).
