In nature, the filtration and decomposition processes in water play a very important role. Organic waste is transformed by specific microorganisms and remains available to the natural cycle as a nutrient for aquatic plants - harmful substances such as ammonium, nitrites and nitrates are eliminated. Since little waste is formed in nature in proportion to the amount of water, the existing bottom surface is sufficient to accommodate enough microorganisms.
