The leopard gecko (Eublepharis Macularis) is a chestnut native to the deserts of southern Asia, it is widespread in Afghanistan,
Iraq, Iran and India and is particularly present in Pakistan. It prefers rocky terrain and hunts at night,
remaining during the day in holes and ravines to rest away from the sun.
Simple to breed, docile in nature, small size, very varied colors and well suited to captivity , the leopard gecko is, together with the bearded dragon, one of the most common saurians in Italian homes.
