POLYESTER RESIN + CATALYST 750 ML

Unsaturated orthophthalic polyester resin with medium reactivity, thixotropic and accelerated specifically formulated for use in the nautical sector, for construction and refurbishments in general. Can be added with glass fiber (MAT).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE PRODUCT

Preparation: The resin is used for the construction of large reinforced plastics. Its minimal tendency to dripping allows an easy application even on strongly inclined walls. The presence of the catalysis indicator, which changes from blue-green to yellow-brown, also allows to check the homogeneous distribution of the peroxide (MEKP) used as hardener. As storage continues, the thixotropic agent tends to settle; before use it is therefore advisable to stir well to restore the homogeneity of the product.

Cut the necessary quantity of glass fiber (MAT), pour the required quantity of resin into a tray, then add the catalyst contained in the bottle in the proportion of 2 gr. every 100 gr. of resin; mix the resin-catalyst mixture thoroughly. From this moment the resin has 10 minutes to be spread.

How to use for impregnation: Degrease the surface to be treated with acetone or nitro-type diluent. Spread a coat of catalyzed resin on the affected area. Lay the glass fiber (MAT) on the wet part and impregnate it with a brush soaked in other resin. If greater resistance is needed, a subsequent piece of fiberglass can be applied immediately at the first or at a later stage. The repair is completely dry after a couple of hours at a temperature of 20 ° C. The brush and any splashes of catalyzed resin must be washed with nitro diluent or acetone before the resin hardens.
