UNFIBER PRIMER
One-component primer for direct application on fiberglass hulls as a low thickness anchoring coat.
Also used as a primer for antifouling or union intermediate between two-component epoxy and / or polyurethane products and single-component finishes
Can be painted over with Topkapi enamel for finishing on superstructures and dead works or with suitable antifouling in the case of boat hulls
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT AND APPLICATION CYCLE
New fiberglass. The surface must be perfectly clean, degreased with suitable detergents, rinsed, lightly, sanded with fine abrasive paper and dusted. Apply one coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER and allow to dry for 6-8 hours. Apply an intermediate base coat (NAUTICAL SUBSTRATE on dead work or SOLVER PRIMER on Opera Viva) and wait for the recommended drying. After 6-8 hours, sand and apply the desired one-component finish (one-component enamel or anti-fouling).
Fiberglass already painted with two-component. The pre-existing two-component paint must be well anchored to the substrate. Then sand and apply one coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER and leave to dry for 6-8 hours. Apply an intermediate base coat (NAUTICAL SUBSTRATE on dead work or SOLVER PRIMER on Opera Viva) and wait for the recommended drying. After 24 hours, sand and apply the desired one-component finish (one-component enamel or anti-fouling).
