AEMME COLORI EPOFOND AM-9 A+B GREY
Satin coating for iron, aluminum, light alloys, wood, plastic and cement. Used as a primer or undercoat in nautical cycles, it is also suitable for flooring and for tanks containing oils, naphtha, kerosene and soda solutions. It develops a non-toxic film that can be overpainted with chlorinated rubber, acrylic and polyurethane products, providing an anchoring base and a long-lasting anti-corrosion barrier. It is used on fiberglass in preventive or curative anti-osmosis cycles. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE
Steel. It is recommended to sandblast the substrate to grade SA 2.5. If this is not possible, the substrate must be perfectly clean, dry, degreased and free from rust and/or calamine and mechanically abraded. On epoxy or polyurethane primers or zinc-coatings, apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9, then 1-2 coats of POLIFOND followed by the chosen finish.
New galvanized steel. The substrate must be dry and perfectly degreased. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Galvanized steel already painted. Remove any traces of rust by abrading. The surface must be dry and perfectly degreased. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Fiberglass. The substrate must be dry, well degreased and lightly abraded. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Cement. The substrate must be clean, dry, seasoned, free from easily detachable friable particles, efflorescence and detaching oils. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9 as a base, diluted according to the absorption of the cement. Leave to dry and apply another 2 coats of EPOFOND AM/9 as a finish (for floors, internal walls, etc.) or, alternatively, if an aesthetic finish is required, apply 2 coats of polyurethane enamel instead.
Wood The substrate must be clean, dry, seasoned. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9 diluted 50% with Thinner 765, depending on absorption. After 12-24 hours, a second coat of EPOFOND AM-9 diluted 10-20% with Thinner 765.
