The rose-faced lovebird, also known as the rose-necked lovebird or rosy-faced lovebird,
(Agapornis roseicollis Vieillot, is a bird of the Psittaculidae family
It is a species of small lovebird native to the arid regions of Southwest Africa.
Rose-faced lovebirds are sociable little birds that often gather in small groups in the wild.
Their coloration can vary widely between populations,
resulting in males and females being identical, thus lacking sexual dimorphism.
Chirping and constant, they are known for their sleeping position where they sit side by side
and turn their noses towards each other.
These little birds are very common among pets,
resulting in it being the most widely bred lovebird species.
