GLOSSY SUPERWIND

High-quality transparent varnish, modified with phenolic resins and with the addition of ultraviolet filters, capable of providing high protection to wooden boat surfaces exposed to the sun's rays

The phenolic modification combined with the type of high quality resin and the high solid content make this paint a product of great performance for long lasting resistance in the marine environment

Do not exceed the recommended thickness per coat, carefully respecting the overcoating times between the coats

PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT AND APPLICATION CYCLE:

New wood

The surface must be clean and dry, sanded and dusted. Apply a first coat of more diluted STARWIND UV (50-70% or more according to the absorption of the substrate) to allow impregnation of the wood.
(Alternatively, again for the purpose of impregnation, a coat of two-component POLIGLASS paint diluted 50-100% with DILUENTE 203 - depending on the absorption - can be applied, however, being careful to leave the wood pore open to allow subsequent painting with STARWIND UV.) Overcoat with 4-5 coats of STARWIND UV to obtain a high-quality shiny finish, respecting the interval times between one coat and the other and taking care not to exceed the thickness per single coat.

Already painted wood.
- If the old paints no longer offer adequate adhesion to the substrate or are brittle, they must be removed mechanically. Clean the surface well and then follow the instructions above for new substrates.
- If the painted surface is in good adhesion conditions and it is only necessary to restore the finishing coats because they are dirty or opaque over time, clean and degrease the surface well and sand with medium-fine abrasive paper. Remove the dust and sanding residues and apply 2-3 coats of STARWIND UV to obtain a high-quality shiny finish, respecting the interval times between coats.
